Dr Tashta Mohangi

Dr Tash brings over 13 years of clinical experience across the fields of general dentistry, periodontology, implantology, oral medicine, anatomical and oral pathology.
​
She holds a Bachelor of Dentistry degree, Master of Science degree in periodontology and oral medicine, and a certificate in Implant Dentistry from the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO). She has completed the Neodent Guided Implant Surgery Course in Brazil, and course in Pathology through Stellenbosch University. Additionally, Dr Tash is certified to administer injectable toxin and filler for facial aesthetics.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr Tash has lectured students at Wits and UWC, and previously served as a medical officer in histopathology at Lancet Laboratories.

Dr Tash has a special interest in exploring the connection between periodontitis and mental health, non-surgical management of periodontitis, and implant rehabilitation.

She is known for her gentle and empathetic approach to patient-centered care.Â

Prof Vicky Mohangi has over 40 years of clinical, academic, and research experience in periodontology, implantology, oral medicine, and dentistry in general.

He is widely recognised as a leader in his field, with an extensive track record in teaching, research and clinical innovation.
​
Prof Mohangi is a a former Head of the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine and current research associate at Sefako Magatho Health Sciences University (MEDUNSA), former Head of Clinical Unit at Wits University, Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and Associate of the Colleges of Medicine South Africa.

His published works cover topics on bone regeneration, implantology, periodontal plastic surgery and the systemic implications of periodontal disease.

Beyond his academic achievements, Prof Mohangi is a skilled and compassionate clinician, known for his precision, insight, and patient-centered care.
